Ashlee, who was sentenced to 23 years behind bars, was raped when she was nine by one of her mum’s previous boyfriends.

But it was Thomas, and his abuse of her, her mother and her three stepsisters, aged nine, eight and two, that finally pushed Ashlee over the edge.
A court heard how Thomas, who had previous convictions for domestic battery and assault, killed animals in front of his children and even stole Ashlee’s hard-earned wages from her part-time job.
He would wake the teen up at 4am and make her do chores under the threat of violence.
It was this reign of terror which made Ashlee fantasise about carrying out murder.
Last year, days before killing her parents, she published a chilling poem on her blog, featuring the line:
"The sweet horrors of blood that I thirst for."
On March 6, Ashlee turned 17 and was dating a local lad Ryan Sisco, 22.
After being woken up to hear yet another violent argument between her mum and Thomas, she confided in Ryan via text, saying: "He’s gonna kill her if she doesn’t leave soon and I don’t want to be around.”
She added: “Just take one of his guns and blow his f***ing brains out."
The next day, after her mum and Thomas told her they disapproved of her relationship with Ryan, her stepdad ripped the telephone from Ashlee’s hand.
The troubled teen then grabbed Thomas’s loaded shotgun and locked herself in her room in an attempt to kill herself.
However when her abusive father-figure started to bang on the door, Ashlee’s rage came to the boil.
She opened the door and fired two shots, one to his neck and one to his head ending his life.
And when mum Jennifer rushed to her dead husband’s body crying in disbelief.
Ashlee claims her mum approached her with a knife which she grabbed from her and savagely killed stabbed her more than 30 times to death.
The 17-year-old then locked her young siblings in their rooms, with snacks, and fled to Indiana with Ryan – who was unaware of her heinous crimes.
She was arrested by police 400 miles away after her nine-year-old sister escaped fork her room and dialled 911.
Ashlee reportedly told officers: "I didn’t mean to kill her.”
Her clueless boyfriend was released without charges.
After initially pleading insanity in March, the teenager killer pleaded guilty to second-degree murder as part of a plea deal – admitting guilt but denying responsibility.
Her sisters gave testimonies via video link confirming the abuse the family had suffered at the hands of Thomas.
The court also heard from experts that Ashlee was suffering from depression and post-traumatic stress after years of violent abuse.
However because the judge deemed that she was not under physically threat when she carried out the killings, Ashlee, now 18, was sentenced to 23 years plus 17 years of supervision.
The judge also said she used “considerable force” while carrying out the attack.
He said that despite the years of abuse the teen should have found "the internal strength" not to kill and that murder is not a justifiable response to such domestic cruelty.
An emotional Ashlee did not make a statement and her legal team said they had been hoping for an eight year sentence.
