Andrew Tate arrested: Jerry’s Pizza flooded with rave reviews after takeaway box ‘helped snare disgraced influencer’ | The Sun

A PIZZA company has been flooded with positive reviews after a viral theory one of their takeaway boxes helped Romanian police arrest Andrew Tate.

The disgraced influencer and his brother were arrested as part of a probe into organised crime, human trafficking and sexual exploitation.

Andsocial media users claimed cops were able to arrest Tate after he was pictured posing with a takeaway box from Jerry's Pizza.

It's claimed this tipped off investigators that he was at his luxurious villa as the firm is unique to Romania.

Tate had already shared that he was back in the country – but the theory has gone viral, being dubbed "PizzaTate".

Romanian police later said the pizza box was "not related" to his arrest.

A third joked: “Good pizza, good service, excellent arrest record".

Someone who hilariously posed as Tate also left a good review reading: “Pizza so good I would get arrested for it”.

"Delicious pizza, nice restaurant and luckily a very spacious parking area nearby for my 33 cars," another wrote.

Footage shows Tate being led away alongside his brother after a police raid at their compound in Romania.

It came just 24 hours after he found himself locked in an online row with climate activist Greta Thunberg.

Trading barbed tweets, Tate orginally bragged about his car collection while Greta said he had “small d*** energy”.

In his effort to clap back at the teen activist, Tate posted a video in which a Jerry’s Pizza box can be seen as he sits in a robe smoking a cigar.

Romanian news outlet Gândul said: "After seeing, including on social networks, that they were together in Romania, the DIICOT prosecutors mobilized the special troops of the Gendarmerie and descended, by force, on their villa in Pipera, but also on other addresses."

Civil rights attorney Alejandra Caraballo tweeted: "Romanian authorities needed proof that Andrew Tate was in the country so they reportedly used his social media posts," alongside a screenshot of Tate’s video from the day before.

In the video, Tate was passed a Jerry's Pizza box and could be heard saying: "Please make sure these boxes are not recycled".

"His ridiculous video yesterday featured a pizza from a Romanian pizza chain, Jerry’s Pizza, confirming he was in the country," Caraballo added.

Many speculated that the arrest may not have happened if Tate had not posted the video in response to Thunberg.

The story also suggested that Greta taunted Tate on Twitter over the claims, writing: "This is what happens when you don’t recycle your pizza boxes".

Romanian prosecutors reportedly believe the alleged criminal group “sexually exploited at least six women”.

A spokesperson for Andrew Tate said: "We cannot provide any details at the moment regarding alleged reports that they have been detained; however, Andrew and Tristan Tate have the utmost respect for the Romanian authorities and will always assist and help in any way they can."
