The evil thug who has had his jail term increased after he kidnapped his girlfriend Angel Lynn and left her with dreadful injuries has “got what he deserves”.
That was the verdict from the victim's family who were speaking after Chay Bowskill, 20, had his sentence more than doubled today.
Tragic Angel, who was 19 at the time, fell from a speeding van after Bowskill and a friend had snatched her off the street and bundled her into the back of the vehicle.
She has been left with life-changing injuries after the horrifying incident.
Bowskill was originally given seven and a half years behind bars after being found guilty of kidnap, coercive and controlling behaviour, and perverting the course of justice.
But Angel’s family saluted today’s Court of Appeal decision to increase it to 16 years and three months. He’ll serve at least two-thirds of his sentence for his crimes in prison before being eligible for parole.
After the hearing, Angel's aunt Jackie Chamberlain said the family was "relieved", reported The Sun.
“We're relieved because we don't want him to walk away from prison, we want him to get what he deserves and we have been given life,” she said.
“We’ll take that [sentence] because it's more than we got in the first place and we were told not to appeal.”
Angel suffered a fractured skull and massive brain injuries during her shocking ordeal in September 2020. She now needs 24-hour care and can’t communicate, walk or feed herself, and she might never make a full recovery.
In a statement, Angel’s family said: “Angel was so full of life and had such a great future ahead of her. That future has sadly been taken away from her.

“Every day is not only a huge struggle for Angel but also a huge struggle for our family and friends.”
Bowskill, 20, was caught on camera along with his mate Rocco Sansome abducting Angel and bundling her into the van.
Angel then fell out of the vehicle while it was travelling at 60mph and was found with catastrophic injuries on the A6 in Leicestershire.
Sansome, who was driving the van, had previously been sentenced to 21 months in a young offender institution and his sentence remains unchanged.
