An Alamosa man has been arrested in connection with the investigation involving human remains found in the San Luis Valley in November and Adre “Psycho” Baroz, the principal suspect in the case, faces additional charges.
On Monday, an arrest warrant was issued for Francisco Ramirez, 38, according to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.
Ramirez was arrested on suspicion of three counts of tampering with deceased human remains and accessory after the fact, and one count of tampering with physical evidence, in the deaths of Myron Robert Martinez, 38, of Del Norte; Selena Esquibel, 20, of Alamosa; and Xavier Zeven Garcia, 24, of Saguache, according to a news release.
Baroz, 26, faces additional charges of first-degree murder and tampering with deceased human remains related to the death of Garcia, the CBI said. Baroz had been charged earlier with the murders of Martinez, Esquibel and 34-year-old Shayla Hammel. He is being held without bond at the Alamosa County Jail.
Investigators have positively identified the remains of Martinez and Hammel in the complex and disturbing missing persons case, which includes additional arrests. Julius Anthony Baroz, 30, the brother of Adre Baroz, is also a defendant.
