Biggest reward in Crimestoppers history offered to find Olivia Pratt-Korbel's killer after girl, 9, gunned down at home | The Sun

THE biggest reward in Crimestoppers history is being offered to help find Olivia Pratt Korbel's killer.

A total of £200,000 is now on the table for anyone who can provide information leading to the conviction of those responsible for the nine-year-old's tragic death last month.

Crimestoppers founder and chairman Lord Ashcroft last week offered £50,000 in a desperate bid to catch the killer who callously gunned down Olivia at her home on August 22.

And on Wednesday, the reward was increased thanks to the offer of £100,000 from a private donor which the peer has now matched.

Innocent Olivia was shot dead in cold blood after a gunman chased convicted burglar Joseph Nee into her home in Dovecot, Liverpool, on August 22.

Her mum, Cheryl Korbel, 46, was injured as the gunman chased convicted burglar Joseph Nee into their property at about 10pm.

Merseyside Police have since arrested nine men as part of their investigation – but all have since been bailed.

Announcing Crimestoppers's biggest single reward offer in history today, Lord Ashcroft said: "This case has been incredibly shocking, not just for those who are directly affected but also for Liverpool and the nation as a whole.

"I am delighted that with the support of a private donor, Crimestoppers can now offer a record £200,000 for information to catch Olivia's killer.

"A precious young life has been lost so we need every effort to find those involved in this appalling killing."

Olivia's killer open fired at her home on August 22, with a bullet passing through her mum's wrist before striking her.

As the schoolgirl lay dying on the floor, callous friends of the injured man arrived, carrying him to their black Audi and taking him to hospital – leaving Olivia and her mum.

Little Olivia, whose funeral was last week, was rushed to hospital – but she was declared dead later that night.

Merseyside Police have made nine arrests since the girl's killing, but no-one has yet been charged with her murder.

It comes after Olivia's mum, Cheryl Korbel, issued a heart-breaking appealto find her daughter's killer – telling them "you know you have done wrong".

Crying through the pain, Cheryl demanded that anyone "hiding the guns" that killed Olivia needs to "speak up".

She added: "Because they need to be off these streets, no one, no one at all, should have to go through this."

Crimestoppers is independent of the police and takes information about crime completely anonymously.

The charity's chief executive, Mark Hallas, said: "If you're too scared to speak to the police, please remember that our charity, Crimestoppers, is here to help you do the right thing.

"Tell Crimestoppers what you know whilst staying completely anonymous. Please understand: Crimestoppers has kept its promise to protect your identity since we started back in the late 1980s
