Bill Gates blasts 'crazy and evil' conspiracies about him and Fauci 'plotting to microchip world using Covid jab'

BILL Gates has slammed "crazy and evil" conspiracy theories about him and Dr Anthony Fauci plotting to "microchip the world with Covid jab."

The Microsoft co-founder said he never would have predicted that he and the infectious disease expert would be so "prominent in these really evil theories."

Mr Gates suspected that the pandemic combined with the rise of social media was behind the spread of the "crazy conspiracy theories".

Speaking to Reuters, he said: “Nobody would have predicted that I and Dr. Fauci would be so prominent in these really evil theories.

“I’m very surprised by that. I hope it goes away.”

On Facebook, one Covidiot claimed: "Gates wants us microchipped and Fauci wants us to carry vax certificates.

"Due to the large number of people who will refuse the forthcoming Covid-19 vaccine because it will include tracking microchips, the Gates Foundation is now spending billions of dollars to ensure that all medical and dental injections and procedures include the chips so that the only way to avoid being 'chipped' will be to refuse any and all dental and medical treatment.”

Another ridiculous accusation that has gone viral on Spanish language pages and media is that Gates helped write the House Democrats' proposed legislation – the TRACE Act.

Nobody would have predicted that I and Dr. Fauci would be so prominent in these really evil theories.

“In a way, it’s so bizarre you almost want to see it as something humorous, but it’s really not a humorous thing,” Gates said.

Gates, who stepped down as chairman of Microsoft Corp in 2014 has dished out at least $1.75billion to help fight the Covid-19 pandemic.

Vital funds from The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has gone towards the manufacturing of the vaccine and support for diagnostics and potential treatments.

One of the wild theories is that Dr Fauci and Gates teamed up to create the pandemic to profit from the spread of the virus.

The bizarre belief is that the pair wanted to use the vaccines to insert trackable microchips into people.

He denied this, saying he'd "never been involved in any microchip type thing."

In June he said: "It's almost hard to deny this stuff because it's so stupid of strange that to even repeat it gives it credibility."

Baffled, Gates asked: "But do people really believe that stuff?

"We’re really going to have to get educated about this over the next year and understand .. how does it change peoples’ behaviour and how should we have minimized this?”

In October, Gates told CNBC that he was concerned the "baseless" conspiracy theories could be harmful to the response to the virus if they damaged people's trust.

Gates recently praised Dr Fauci and Francis Collins, head of the U.S. National Institutes of Health, as “smart” and “wonderful people”, and said he looked forward to seeing them able to work effectively and speak the truth under the new administration of President Joe Biden.

During former President Donald Trump’s handling of the pandemic, Gates said, it had “sometimes felt like they were the only sane people in the U.S. government.”

“I’m excited about the team that Biden has picked” to tackle the health crisis, Gates said.
