A BODY has been found after a 21-year-old vanished in the sea four days ago.
Emergency services were scrambled to Clacton Pier in Essex on Tuesday after six people got into difficulty in the water.
Police later confirmed five people were brought to shore – but a 21-year-old man could not be accounted for.
Cops have today tragically confirmed a body was found two miles from Clacton-on-Sea in Jaywick.
In an update on Twitter today, Essex Police wrote: "Emergency services involved in the search for a man who was last seen in the water close to Clacton Pier have this AM located a body of a man in Jaywick.
"Formal ID has not yet taken place.

"We're liaising with international partners to contact the family of the 21-year-old."
It is understood the group were cooling off near the pier when they got caught up in the current and were pulled away from the beach.
The tragedy is one of over a dozen victims claimed by the heatwave across the UK as temperatures soared.
