BORIS Johnson cancelled a boozy Christmas bash with 120 donors over the party scandal.
The Prime Minister was due to attend with Cabinet ministers such as Chancellor Rishi Sunak.
He pulled the plug just hours before last night’s event at Christie’s auction house in central London.
Tory party bosses had planned to push ahead despite anger over a video showing sniggering aides laughing about last year’s lockdown-breaking bash.
While raging Tory backbenchers warned their locals were "f**king raging" over the explosive row.
They were keen to use the event to drum up much-needed cash but had to ring donors to postpone it due to what they called “recent events”.
But late yesterday afternoon, just an hour before the PM triggered Covid Plan B, they thought again.
A FINN MESS
FINLAND’S PM is under fire after she went clubbing knowing she had been in close contact with a confirmed Covid case.
Sanna Marin, 36, was pictured drinking Corona beer at 4am in a Helsinki nightclub and seen on the dance floor hours after her foreign minister Pekka Haavisto tested positive.
Guidance for anyone in contact with a confirmed case is to take a test and isolate.
Ms Marin apologised on Facebook saying she had not received a text message advising her to take a test as she “didn’t have her work phone”.
Opposition leaders and Finnish media reacted with fury.
