Boy, 2, destroys £600 TV by PAINTING it in nappy rash cream after mum leaves him alone for 10 minutes

A SHOCKED mum has shared the moment her son broke the family TV by PAINTING it in nappy rash cream – and had to splash out £600 on a replacement.

Danielle Adams, 25, left two-year-old son Oliver watching a film on the sofa whilst she packed away her washing.

After ten minutes the mum-of-three noticed it was very quiet, so assumed Oliver was asleep.

However, when she returned downstairs she was shocked to find her son had emptied a tub of nappy rash cream and painted the TV with it.

Despite their best efforts to get all of the cream out of the TV and its speakers, the family were forced to splash out on a £600 replacement.

Danielle, from Thirsk, North Yorkshire, said: “I had settled my daughter, Skylar, who was sleeping in her basket and I’d given Oliver his dinner.

“He was distracted by watching a film on the sofa, so I thought I’d use the time to get my washing done.

“I had got the clean clothes from the dryer and took them upstairs to put them away – meanwhile everyone was quiet downstairs so I assumed Oliver must be asleep.

“But then when I walked down the stairs I started to smell the cream – I knew it was going to be bad so I took a deep breath and ran into the living room to find Oliver laughing.

“He had emptied the entire extra-large tub and painted it over himself, his sister, the rug and completely plastered the TV with it.”

Still furious, Danielle had to bath both Oliver and Skylar three times in order to remove the cream and bin their living room rug.

And despite using a bank card to try and scrape all of the cream off of the TV, that too ended up in the bin.

She said: “Because the cream got in the speakers, the TV was completely broken.

“I tried for hours to fix it but it wasn’t happening, so we had to buy a new £600 TV to replace it.
