Boy, 3, rushed to hospital after being mowed down by car in horror crash as man arrested | The Sun

A THREE-year-old boy has been rushed to hospital after being hit by a car in Nottinghamshire.

The youngster was mowed down in Beeston town centre just before 9.30am today.

The extent of his injuries remain unclear at this stage, police said.

Cops have arrested a man, 79, on suspicion of driving without due care and attention.

A cordon is in place at the scene by the Broxtowe Borough Council-run car park in Foster Avenue.

A spokesperson for Nottinghamshire Police said: "The three-year-old boy is currently being treated in hospital.

"A 79-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of driving without due care and attention."

Anyone with information or dashcam footage is urged to call 101 quoting incident number 145 of December 20.
