Brit danger hunter in Ukraine warzone mistaken for ‘spy’ by troops

A Brit danger hunter who decided to travel into the depths of the Ukrainian warzone claims he was mistaken for a spy by troops.

Disaster tourist Miles Routledge has been documenting his bizarre holiday choice which he claims is for "fun" despite Russia's full-blown invasion of Ukraine.

The student is constantly updating his thousands of followers online and says he spent the night at an army base which was "pretty comfortable."

He is renowned for visiting some of the most threatening places on Earth and it appears that where others try to flee he decides to set his sights to, in full explorer mode.

Sharing one of his most recent encounters while in Ukraine, he tweeted: "Ukrainian troops flick through my passport and begin laughing.

"Me: What are they laughing about?

"The CO: they see all these countries and your attitude and photos and they think you are a spy."

Miles seems to have built a strong repertoire with the Ukraine forces so far and also tweeted that the women soldiers offered him breakfast while he spent the night at a shooting range in the bunker.

He appears to have started his journey on Friday, February 25, when he tweeted: "It's official. Tintin goes to Ukraine, he's on the train."

Since then, the Brit has shared dozens of updates and photos of his Ukraine holiday and earlier described his journey from Poland to Kyiv as a "bargain" after paying just £6.

The YouTuber has previously been "evacuated" from an "insane Afghanistan holiday" during the Taliban offensive and fall of Kabul.

After his sudden evacuation, the 22-year-old decided he needed more danger in his life and set off for crisis-hit Kazakhstan.

His trip was partly funded by his avid followers on GoFundMe and announced his latest holiday on Twitter in the middle of January.

He wrote: "On my way to Kazakhstan RIGHT NOW! Why? So I can be a lil goofy, be a little silly perhaps, adventure around all British like, get away from it all. A lovely lil holiday. Lads on tour!"
