British-Iranian aid worker Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe is on her way back home after six years in detention in Iran,
Ratcliffe’s local MP Tulip Siddiq, who has fought for her freedom confirmed reports that Nazanin and Anoosheh Ashoori were both at Tehran Airport.
“Nazanin is at the airport in Tehran and on her way home,” Siddiq said.
“I came into politics to make a difference, and right now I’m feeling like I have.”
Nazanin’s husband Richard, who has led the campaign for his wife’s freedom, was contacted for comment.
On Monday, Nazanin was handed back her British passport.
