Britney Spears gets a RESTRAINING ORDER against her ex Jason Alexander

Britney Spears’ ex-husband Jason Alexander was ‘armed with a KNIFE’ when he tried to crash her wedding to Sam Asghari: Newlyweds are granted a restraining order

  • Spears, 40, and her new husband Asghari, 28, have obtained a restraining order against Alexander, 40, who is in custody after being arrested on Thursday
  • The restraining order requires Alexander to stay at least 100 yards away from Spears, Asghari, and her $7million home where the wedding took place
  • According to Page Six, the order also claims that Alexander was ‘armed with a knife’ when he trespassed on Spears’ property in the hours before her wedding
  • He then entered the wedding tent where Spears’ nuptials would be held just hours later, shouting: ‘She’s my first wife, she’s my only wife’
  • Spears’ lawyer Mathew Rosengart said he was ‘livid’ about the encounter, but ultimately the singer was ‘safe and she was a stunning and happy bride’
  • Insiders said guests were hesitant to tell Spears about the incident, but eventually opted to do so because there was ‘no way of hiding it’
  • Spears was reportedly shocked that he would crash her wedding and was disappointed that ‘this is what some people will remember her wedding day by’

Britney Spears and Sam Asghari have been granted a restraining order against her ex-husband after he tried to crash her wedding ‘armed with a knife.’

The newlyweds’ lawyer said today Jason Alexander, 40, will not be allowed within 100 yards of them or their $7million Los Angeles home.

Mathew Rosengart revealed the jilted lover had ‘continuously trespassed’ in the past and was told he was not welcomed on their special day.

The order also noted how Asghari had been carrying a knife when he was tackled and arrested during the sick stunt on Thursday.

Alexander had ran through hillside trails at the star’s Thousand Oaks mansion and screamed: ‘I’m Jason Alexander. The first husband. I’m here to crash the wedding.’

He then entered the wedding tent where Spears’ nuptials would be held just hours later, shouting: ‘She’s my first wife, she’s my only wife.’

But he was wrestled to the ground before being charged with trespassing, vandalism and two batteries after scrapping with Britney’s security guards.

Alexander was last night booked into a California jail, where he is still being held on a $2,500 bail.

According to the order, Alexander, 40, who livestreamed (pictured) his attempts to crash the wedding, was ‘armed with a knife’ when he trespassed on the singer’s $7million California property

An additional $20,000 was added on for an open warrant out for grand theft embezzlement and possession of stolen property, according to Page Six.

His arraignment for the emergency order is set for 1.30pm local time on Monday.

Rosengart said Alexander remains incarcerated, while confirming a restraining order has been granted to his client.

‘Fortunately, Alexander is incarcerated and under an emergency protective order,’ he stated.

Rosengart added he ‘looks forward to working with law enforcement to ensure Alexander is aggressively prosecuted and hopefully convicted, as he should be.’

An insider told Hollywood Life that many guests were hesitant to tell Spears about the incident at first, but eventually opted to tell the bride.

‘At first, people thought that it would be best not to tell her because no one wanted it to ruin her special day. But obviously, it was everywhere and there was no way of hiding it.

‘She was upset and it made her worried, but she was very thankful for the authorities and her staff who were able to get the situation under control and resolved quickly.’

Alexander and Spears married in Las Vegas in 2004 before the union was annulled 55 hours later

Spears was reportedly shocked to learn Alexander would crash her wedding and was disappointed that ‘this is what some people will remember her wedding day by,’ the insider said.

The 40-year-old was easily able to scale a fence, descend a rocky hillside and slip inside the wedding venue, all-the-while telling security exactly who he was, and why he was there – just hours before the fairytale ceremony got underway.

Shortly after the crashing, a source told Page Six: ‘Britney is shaken, but doesn’t want to let this get her down. Everyone is thankfully safe, and Jason is no longer on the property.’

Alexander’s arrest is his third in 13 months. Police sources revealed he also has a felony warrant for larceny in another county.

He was last in police custody for driving under the influence in January 2021 and breaking security protocols at an airport in August. Alexander was also arrested previously for violating an order of protection and stalking an unidentified woman in December 2021.

The estranged couple got hitched in Las Vegas in 2004 before the union was annulled 55 hours later.

Childhood pals Spears and Alexander tied the knot on a whim in the early morning hours on January 3, 2004, during a ceremony at the Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas, Nevada. They were both 22 years old at the time.

It was annulled after Alexander later claimed he was forced by Britney’s mother, Lynne, and Britney’s management.

Following the annulment, Britney said in an interview: ‘It was me being silly, being rebellious.’

But the popstar did not let it ruin her big day, with pictures of the bride looking delighted and stunning as she wed her new husband.

The highly-anticipated wedding took place in an enormous tent outside the popstar’s 12,464-square-foot, five-bedroom, eight-bath Italian villa – which is located in a gated community in Thousand Oaks, California.

Britney purchased the home, which sits on 20 acres of land, in October 2015 for $7.4 million.

The couple, who announced their engagement in September last year, were officially pronounced husband and wife in front of a small, select group of guests, which included several of their celebrity pals.

Other famous faces at the wedding include Ansel Elgort, Maria Menounos, Kathy Hilton, and Britney’s superstar attorney Mathew Rosengart.

The wedding was not attended by the Oops I Did It Again songstress’ estranged family members – father Jamie Spears, mother Lynne Spears, and sister Jamie Lynn Spears, as well as the two sons she shares with ex-husband Kevin Federline.

Kevin confirmed to TMZ earlier in the day that their sons Sean Preston, 16, and Jayden James, 15, would be absent from the ceremony, but said that they were ‘happy for Britney and wish her and Sam all the best going forward.’

If the absence of her family caused any distress for the bride, she certainly didn’t let it show on the day, with images capturing Britney grinning from ear-to-ear as she posed for newlywed portraits with her husband, who looked incredibly dapper in a black tuxedo, complete with white boutonniere.

Britney wore four different custom-made Versace gown’s throughout the evening. To say her ‘I dos,’ she donned a white dress which featured a thigh-high slit on one side, a sweetheart neckline, a long train, and an elegant veil that swept along the floor behind her.

The 40-year-old added some fashionable flair to her gown by donning a white choker necklace and sheer white gloves.
