Camilla copies late Queen’s gestures to seem confident says body language expert

Camilla is emulating Queen Elizabeth II’s gestures and facial expressions in a bid to appear confident, says a body language expert.

Body language expert Darren Stanton claims Camilla’s “confidence” over the years has stemmed from adopting “similar emotions and gestures” to the late monarch.

Following the Coronation of King Charles III on Saturday, May 6, Camilla has officially taken on the role of Queen.

In the analysis on behalf of Betfair Bingo, Mr Santon revealed the tell-tale signs Camilla is copying the late Queen – from her “great relationship with Kate Middleton ” to the ways she supports Charles.

Mr Stanton reveals: “Having analysed Camilla’s character traits and body language for many years, there has been a steady increase in her characteristics, which we can now attribute to Queen Elizabeth.

“I think Camilla always had a great deal of respect for the Queen and it’s rumoured that the pair got on very well.

“I believe Camilla has very much emulated the Queen since taking on the Queen Consort role herself. She has become King Charles’ rock, which is what Prince Philip was to the Queen.”

He went on to describe the new Queen as very conscious about how she appears to the public, a contrast to the “happy-go-lucky” attitude the Prince and Princess of Wales adopt.

“Camilla adheres to the royal protocols that the Queen once did,” he added. “For example, she will only wear certain dresses and jewellery in public and displays certain emotions. She comes across as very controlled.

“When it comes to her non-verbal behaviours, she often makes certain gestures and animations with her hands that are similar to the Queen.”

Mr Stanton suggests Camilla has taken a step out of her mother-in-law's books in the hope of being “the best Queen that she can be to King Charles”.

He explained: “I believe Camilla has grown into the role of Queen with confidence and ease. In the early days, she was obviously very attentive over how she came over and didn’t appear as confident.

“However, since becoming a senior member of the Royal Family and now Queen Consort, her overall confidence and eye contact have developed greatly.

“I think Camilla will use these similarities, both on a conscious and unconscious level, to support King Charles during his reign. It’s no secret that Charles sees Camilla as his strength and stay.

“If they’re separated during engagements, he’s forever looking at where she is – even for a few seconds. I have no doubt that this level of compassion and support will remain throughout Charles’ reign.

“She is a very confident, supportive, compassionate person, who will continue to support King Charles – similarly to the support Prince Philip gave to the Queen.”
