CCTV has shown the moment a man posing as a delivery driver dropping off a parcel jumps a fence and breaks into a house.
Ramona Pala shared the footage after an intruder broke into her home in Edgware, north London, and went through personal belongings as her roommate slept on Thursday night.
The administrative assistant said the man had pretended to deliver a parcel to probe if anyone was inside the property and only fled after cornering her flatmate in a bathroom.
Footage captured from CCTV overlooking Ramona’s front door shows a man wearing a grey and black tracksuit with a cap and sunglasses approach her home while smoking a cigarette.
He knocks on the front door, checking that no one is watching, and appears to kick a Royal Mail parcel left by the front door.

The intruder bends down to read a delivery note and knocks on the door a final time, before a second camera at the side of the property shows him scale a fence and try a the handle of a side door.
After the door does not open, he tries his luck with a third door and walks along the garden out of view, where he breaks into the property.
Further pictures show the damage caused by his break-in, with a white interior door ajar with its lock broken and wooden debris strewn across the floor.
The man is said to have gone through personal belongings and attempted to break into a bathroom where Ramona’s housemate was hiding. He only fled the property following her screams.
The roommate phoned Ramona, who in turn called 999, but the man had disappeared by the time police arrived.
Sharing the footage online last week, sparking shock at the man’s brazen actions.

Speaking yesterday, she said: ‘My housemate was in the house sleeping when it happened. She heard noises but didn’t realise what was happening although he must have made quite the ruckus.
‘When he broke down the first bedroom door she went into her bathroom, called me to ask if I was in the house, making noise. When I told her I’m on the bus on my way home she started freaking out telling me someone is in the house breaking down doors.
‘I hung up and called 999, explained the situation, telling them there’s an intruder and a resident in one of the rooms. They said someone is on their way with blue lights. I called her back, she told me he was trying to break down her door.
‘She was holding it, although it was locked. When he managed to make a hole in the door she yelled ‘What do you want’ and he got spooked and ran out of the house.
‘I called 999 again to see if they are close but then I found out it’s going to be a while – officers were dispatched to another big incident and they are trying to send someone from Hayes to us.’
Ramona then tried to call friends in the area to assist her housemate until she returned home.
She said a police officer and a dog arrived at the property to check on the pair, but Ramona said he ‘stepped in and showed up just because no one else could at that moment’.
