Cops hunt woman after man’s body found stuffed inside freezer at her home – The Sun

POLICE are hunting a woman after a man’s dead body was found stuffed inside her FREEZER.

A warrant for the arrest of Barbara J. Watters, 67, has been issued after the preserved corpse was found at her house in Joplin, Missouri, Monday.

Cops were tipped off about the body after investigating an unrelated arson case, authorities said.

Law enforcement has released a picture of Watters along with a stock picture of a Lincoln car, the model she may be driving, along with her vehicle registration.

A Joplin Police Department spokesman said: "On November 13th 2019 a warrant was issued for Abandonment Of A Corpse for Barbara J. Watters.

"The bond amount has been set at $100,000.

"If you have any information on the whereabouts of Watters, you are asked to contact the Joplin Police Department immediately or your local law enforcement agency.”

The spokesman added that an autopsy has been scheduled and the probe is on-going.

According to local media, the body has not been formally identified by its next of kin.
