A COUPLE have completed more than 80 Olympic events in their bid to do all 96 during the 17 days of the Tokyo games.
Charlotte Nichols and Stuart Bates have ticked off the likes of golf, a triathlon, climbing and rowing.
The Sun watched on Wednesday as they dived from the same 7.5metre board used by Team GB’s Tom Daley, 27, and Matty Lee, 23, at the London Aquatics Centre.
Today they will surf in Bristol and try a modern pentathlon in Bath.
Bristol University medical student Charlotte, 21, said: “It’s been the hardest thing I’ve ever done.
“It might be the hardest thing I ever do but we can do it.”
Window cleaner Stuart, 51, added: “Not having a fear of heights doesn’t help with too many Olympic sports but it helped with some.”
They have raised more than £84,000 for Motor Neurone Disease Association, smashing their £10,000 target.
Stuart’s brother Spenny died aged 49 with the disease in 2011.
They are backed by more than 50 Team GB Olympians such as gold medallist Sally Gunnell, 55.
