Denver weather: Cold front pushing through then sunny skies and warm days this coming week.

A cold front out of the north is pushing through the region this weekend bringing cooler weather and cloudy skies overnight, but sunny skies dominate the local forecast this coming week.

Skies over Denver will be mostly sunny on Saturday as the high temperature climbs to about 66 degrees, according to the National Weather Service forecast. Winds will gust to 25 mph Saturday along the Front Range and on the Eastern Plains. Overnight in Denver the low temp will dip to about 42 degrees. There’s a 20% chance of showers in Denver between midnight and 3 a.m. under mostly cloudy skies. Overnight temps in the mountains will drop into the mid 20s to lower 30s.

Sunday morning in Denver skies will be cloudy, before gradually diminishing and becoming mostly sunny with a high temperature near 58 degrees, the weather service said. Sunday night skies will be mostly clear and the low temperature will be near 38 degrees.

A warming trend kicks in on Monday in Denver, with sunny skies and high temperature of about 66 degrees, according to the weather service. The rest of the week sets up nicely for the metro area, with continuing sunny skies and high temperatures in the 70s.
