Desperate search for missing woman, 38, who vanished after horse ride as 'phone and bag found'

COPS are desperately searching for a missing woman who disappeared after a horse ride.

Amanda Hull's bag and phone were found after she failed to come home yesterday.

The 38-year-old was last seen on Haye Lane in Ombersley, Worcs., at 9am yesterday when she went to collect her horse.

Worried friends posted appeals for help in finding the "vulnerable" woman.

Owners of a local restaurant took to social media to share the details of the search – revealing police found some of her belongings nearby, and her horse was back in its field.

The Holt Fleet posted: "Can Droitwich and Ombersley people please keep an eye out for Amanda Jane Hull and let Carol Hull or Kate Nicol know if anyone sees her.

"Amanda was last seen on Haye Lane, Ombersley, at 9am 22/5/21 where she went to collect her horse and head to Hadley Stables.

"Amanda goes to the stables 6 days per week, but never made it this morning.

"She was seen on the horse, but the horse is back in the field and Amanda has not been seen since.

"If anyone in the area on the morning of May 22nd has any dash cam footage, or anything, please review it.

'PLEASE HELP HER'

"Amanda is vulnerable and this is obviously completely out of character.

"She was wearing her horse riding clothes – black jodhpurs, T-shirt, yellow high vis coat and brown boots (suede and leather).

"The police have her phone, bag and hoody. She has no money or phone so if you spot her please help her and contact the police on 101 quoting incident 00583i of May 22nd."

Amanda is described as white, approximately 5ft tall with blonde hair usually worn in a ponytail and was last seen wearing a bright yellow jacket and brown riding boots.

A West Mercia spokesperson added: "She has links to areas in Ombersley and Droitwich but may have travelled further.

"Anyone with information on her whereabouts is urged to contact 101 quoting incident 583i of 22 May."

Pal Scott Walker posted: "Amanda just call or message – let us know you are ok.

"Everyone is missing you and worried. Come home – your horse is missing you too.

"We are still waiting for directive from the police on where best to focus the search efforts for Amanda Hull.

"There is a huge amount of people wanting to help search, which is great.

"Until we receive any further detail from the police the only thing we can suggest is to search all of Droitwich, Ombersley and surrounding areas.

"Please avoid Haye Lane, Ombersley. This is where she was last seen and there is still a heavy police presence.

"Any roads and public footpaths between Ombersley and Droitwich would also be a good focal point."
