DIZZEE Rascal headbutted his partner and pushed her to the ground in a bust-up at her home, a court heard today.
The rapper, 36, was arrested after Cassandra Jones suffered a minor injury at her home in Streatham, South London.
Dizzee- real name Dylan Mills – appeared at Croydon Magistrates' Court today where he pleaded not guilty to a charge of common assault.
The court was told the rapper allegedly attacked partner Cassandra on June 8.
But he “denies pushing his head into (her) head and denies pushing her to the floor”, it was said.
Cassandra reported suffering a minor injury but did not require hospital treatment.
A provisional trial date was set for February 18 next year with Cassandra and her mother expected to give evidence.
Defence lawyer Iskander Fernandez said Dizzee's tour manager is also due to be a witness as he "received a phone call when the altercation is said to have taken place".
