THE head chef of England’s rugby team sexually assaulted a woman after locking her in a hotel room, a court has heard.
Michelin-starred Patrick McDonald, 56, was working for the national squad when he allegedly pounced on his victim.
Prosecutors claim he invited the unnamed woman to his room at 2.30pm before locking the door and groping her over clothing.
He “forced his tongue inside her mouth” and stroked the woman before she pushed him away and fled the room at the Randolph Hotel in Oxford, it is claimed.
Prosecutor Edward Culver described McDonald’s behaviour as “uninvited and unwelcome”.
The alleged victim said she was left “scared, nervous, and quite shaky” after the incident last February.
She told Oxford crown court: “His hands seemed to move down my body and started brushing my groin area.”

McDonald, of Suckley, Worcs, was later arrested at the five-star hotel. But the dad of three denied locking the door and groping her, saying he turned down his accuser’s advances.
McDonald said he was “mortified” to be in this situation.
He was let go by England after the allegations arose. The trial continues.
