A father and three of his children were found dead from gunshot wounds inside of a burning North Carolina home on Wednesday morning, a report said.
The family members were discovered by first responders in a residence in Lenoir at about 9:30 a.m. after 911 callers reported hearing gunshots, the fire and a possible explosion, authorities told WBTV.
The victims included two men, ages 58 and 29, an 18-year-old woman and a 15-year-old girl, the report said.
They were all found shot to death once firefighters extinguished the flames, the report said.
A fifth person inside the home survived.
Police did not reveal who they believe opened fire, but said they are not seeking any suspects.
