A dad in China has finally been reunited with his abducted son after 24 years of searching across the country and handing out missing-person flyers.

Guo Gangtang, 51, began his pursuit to find his then-2-year-old son in 1997 after the boy was kidnapped while playing outside their home in a village in the eastern province of Shandong, the BBC reported.

When initial efforts to find the boy were unsuccessful, Guo set out on a motorcycle that had a flag attached with his lost son’s image, giving out flyers as he traveled to more than 20 Chinese provinces.

He traveled more than 311,000 miles searching for him across the country, wearing out at least 10 motorcycles in the process.

It wasn’t until June that police tracked down a man in central Henan province who matched his son’s description, the official Xinhua news agency reported.

Two suspects, who had been dating at the time of the kidnapping, were arrested for allegedly snatching the boy from his home, then selling him, BBC reported.

DNA testing confirmed that the man, now a 26-year-old teacher, was Guo’s long-lost son, paving the way for the emotional family reunion.

Guo and his wife cried and hugged their son in a scene captured by local media in Shandong on Sunday.

“I’ve found my son, and I want to get back to normal life as soon as possible,” Guo said in a video on his TikTok account on Tuesday.
