Fury as beauty students asked to STRIP in front of trans double rapist Isla Bryson after sex attacks | The Sun

YOUNG female college students were asked to get naked for spray tan sessions in front of transgender rapist Isla Bryson.

Bryson – formerly known by her "dead name" Adam Graham – was convicted of two rapes at the High Court in Glasgow this week and sent to all-female prison Cornton Vale.

But the move was met by a furious backlash and it has since been confirmed the sex fiend, 31, will be moved to a men's prison.

It emerged on Thursday night that the predator joined a beauty course at Ayrshire College's Kilwinning campus in 2021, while awaiting trial for two rapes, allowing them access to young women.

And former students have hit out at bosses at the institution after they were asked to strip in front of Bryson during fake tanning lessons.

Rachel Ferguson, 21, told the Daily Record: "It really scares me to look back and realise she was watching me with no clothes on after being charged with this.

"It makes me feel physically sick and violated. We should have known about these charges. It’s not right that we didn’t know.”

Rachel, a nail technician from Dundonald, South Ayrshire, added: “We started college when she was beginning her transition. It was a class full of young girls. She was refusing to do practical stuff at first because she said she didn’t feel comfortable.

“We had all kinds of accusations thrown at us in the middle of the classroom. I was being verbally attacked. She went to the head of the department and said we were all discriminating against her and were homophobic. I was really offended and hurt by that and didn’t go to college for three weeks because I was scared of the way she was coming at me."

The college confirmed Bryson enrolled in the course but said they had no knowledge of the pending trial or that Bryson had been charged with any offences.

A spokesperson for Ayrshire College said: “We can confirm the individual was enrolled as a student at Ayrshire College for a three-month period in 2021 and is no longer a student with the College.

“Ayrshire College had no prior knowledge of this individual being charged with any offences. We will not be making any further comment on this matter.”

The First Minister told how Bryson was being shifted from Cornton Vale nick Stirlingshire as she was quizzed on the issue at Holyrood.

It came amid a wave of anger over the Scottish Prison Service's decision to remand Bryson – who raped two mums while living as a man called Adam Graham – at Cornton Vale ahead of sentencing.

Scottish Tory leader Douglas Ross told First Minister's Questions the Scottish Prison Service is a Scottish Government agency – and SNP ministers had the power to intervene on where Bryson is placed within 72 hours.

Ms Sturgeon said Bryson would not be at Cornton Vale in the "short term", and after being pushed by Mr Ross about what this meant, she confirmed Bryson was being moved imminently.

Ms Sturgeon said: "The Scottish Prison Service is in the process of giving effect to the decision it has taken not to incarcerate this prisoner in Cornton Vale, and before the 72 hour period expires that Douglas Ross has referred, to my expectation that is that this prisoner will not be in Cornton Vale Prison."

Speaking at Holyrood, Ms Sturgeon confirmed she personally did not believe a convicted rapist should be sent to a women’s prison.

She said: "I heard the chief executive of Rape Crisis Scotland say this yesterday ‘I don’t see how it’s possible to have a rapist within a female prison,’ and so let me be very clear, I agree with that statement and bearing in mind what I’ve just said about individualised risk assessment, as a general principle and presumption I think that statement is correct.”
