Gabby Petito autopsy: Dog the Bounty Hunter does NOT think Brian Laundrie's fiancé was suffocated due to crucial clue

DOG the Bounty Hunter doesn't believe Gabby Petito’s autopsy will show she was suffocated as he claims the final results were withheld because her death was more “brutal.”

The reality TV star has claimed that information on his own daughter’s death in a car crash in 2006 was initially withheld to save him from the more gruesome details while he was grieving.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun last week, the 68-year-old claimed that the Teton County coroner’s office showed “mercy” to the Petito family by “slowly” revealing more information.

“I have never seen the findings of an autopsy take this long to announce.” Dog said.

"I know that my daughter was killed at the same age and for a few weeks, they didn't tell me that the car actually rolled over on my daughter’s skull.

"I remember these exact pieces of time when Barbara Katy passed away so I’m glad I didn’t hear that right away.

"It’s more the mercy of the federal government and the coroner really to go out very slowly.

"If she was suffocated they would have announced that right away," Dog added of Gabby's autopsy. "I think it’s more than that."

Dog’s eldest daughter Barbara Katy died in Alaska in 2006 aged 23 on the eve of his wedding to his fifth wife, Beth Smith.

According to News9, Barbara was killed when the stolen SUV she was in rolled and crashed into a tree.

The driver, Scott Standefer II, also died in the accident.

She was the eldest of the bounty hunter’s twelve children.

Dog added that if Gabby's death was a “brutal murder” then “people are going to go crazy.”

“I can’t speculate how it happened because I’ve heard that she’d been there a few days before they found her, deceased before they found her so that area has a lot of animals and predators and wildlife,” he said.

“Just like everyone else, I would like to know how she passed.”

The full autopsy results for the 22-year-old vlogger are expected to be revealed today at 2.30pm ET.

Her manner of death has already been ruled a homicide but there have been no details released on the cause.

There is also not yet a suspect in her death but her fiancé Brian Laundrie is a person of interest.

LAUNDRIE ON THE RUN

He has been missing since September 17 after returning home to Florida in her van without her on September 1.

Two days later, her remains were found.

An arrest warrant was issued for 23-year-old Laundrie on September 24 for misuse of a bank card that wasn’t his.

The Petito family’s lawyer confirmed that it was Gabby’s card and claimed Laundrie used $1,000 as he returned to Florida between August 30 and September 1.

FBI Denver has previously said that they believe Gabby to have died between August 27 and August 30.

She was last seen on August 27 in a Wyoming restaurant where Laundrie reportedly argued with staff.

A forensic expert has also said that injuries must have been “glaring” for the coroner to immediately say the manner of death was homicide only two days after Gabby’s body was found.

AUTOPSY REVEAL

Joseph Scott Morgan, the host of the podcast Body Bags, told The Sun that it is “fascinating” that the manner came before the cause of death in this case.

He added that the coroner would be investigating to see if there were any older injuries to Gabby’s remains that could indicate prior abuse.

Laundrie refused to speak to cops after Gabby’s family reported her missing on September 11.

His parents have also hired a lawyer and did not help with the search for the young blogger.

Dad Chris did join the search in Carlton Reserve for three hours last week and was reportedly helping the FBI in locating Brian’s favorite trails.

Dog had also mounted his own search for Fort De Soto Park after reportedly receiving a tip.

On Monday, he insisted he is still on Laundie’s trail despite being forced to return to Colorado due to an ankle injury.
