A LITTLE girl died in a horror crash with a lorry as she was out cycling in rural Wiltshire.
The youngster, seven, was riding her bike in village Collingbourne Ducis when she was involved in the smash.
Cops and paramedics rushed to A338 Church Street just before 6.30pm after the collision and the girl was taken to Salisbury District Hospital.
However, despite the efforts of medics, she couldn't be saved and died last night, not long after she arrived at the hospital.
This morning, police investigating the crash have called for anyone with information to come forward urgently.
Detectives said: "Her family are being supported by specially-trained officers and our thoughts are with them at this incredibly difficult time.
"The driver of the HGV remained at the scene.
"No arrests have been made.
"A section of road was closed for around eight-and-a-half hours to allow collision investigation work to take place.
"We would ask anyone who witnessed the collision, or anyone who may have dash cam footage which could assist our enquiries, to call Wiltshire Police’s Collision Investigation Unit on 101, quoting log 225 of yesterday."
