The daughter of Zoe Ball and Fatboy Slim may skip her famous father’s performance at Glastonbury this weekend, her parents revealed, as they reunited on air on Ball’s BBC Radio 2 breakfast show.

The British DJ, real name Norman Cook, will perform on the Park Stage at 11pm on Saturday, but Ball, who was married to him for 18 years, said their daughter Nelly ‘wants to go and see Loyle Carner’, who is slated for the West Holts Stage at 10.15pm.

Cook said he was most looking forward to Sir Elton John’s headline set at 9pm on Sunday on the Pyramid Stage, but a time clash could prevent him from seeing his son Woody’s set.

Woody, who has appeared on Channel 4 reality show The Circle, is DJing on Sunday evening.

Ball said: ‘Well, he is playing in the Rabbit Hole on Sunday night between 8pm and 9pm, so we could still get to see Woody and then get to Elton in time.’

Cook said it sounded like she had ‘got a plan’ and Ball responded: ‘Yes. I have a plan. I am also loving the fact that our daughter wants to go and see Loyle Carner and not her dad on the Park Stage on Saturday night. She’s got great taste.’

Morning campers! Glastonbury revellers take showers and cook breakfasts

Spirits were high this morning as Glastonbury revellers crawled out of their tents to tuck into cooked breakfasts and take cold outdoor showers as they prepared enjoy day jammed-full of performances by some of music’s greats.

Thousands of music fans camping out on the sprawling Worthy Farm in Somerset, woke up to good news today after the festival’s co-organiser Emily Eavis confirmed this morning that the Arctic Monkeys would be headlining on the Pyramid Stage tonight.

The group’s much anticipated performance was thrown in doubt earlier in the week after the band cancelled its performance in Dublin due to sickness.

But festival-goers minds were put at ease when Ms Eavis confirmed ‘they’re on’, adding ‘it was a little bit close there for a minute and we were thinking about whether we should have a serious back-up plan in place, but no, thankfully they’re on’.

Happy campers were treated to dry weather over night with temperatures expected to hit 25C during the day today, according to the Met Office.

Glastonbury co-organiser Emily Eavis has confirmed the Arctic Monkeys will headline the Pyramid Stage on Friday after their set was thrown into question earlier this week.

The rock band announced on Monday that frontman Alex Turner had acute laryngitis which forced them to cancel their show in Marlay Park, Dublin, on Wednesday.

Broadcasting from the grounds of the festival at Worthy Farm, Zoe Ball asked during her BBC Radio 2 show if the band were still set to play, and Eavis replied ‘they’re on’, which was welcomed with applause.

‘It was a little bit close there for a minute and we were thinking about whether we should have a serious back-up plan in place, but no, thankfully they’re on, so that’s great,’ she added.

It will be the Sheffield band’s third time headlining the festival after topping the bill on 2007 and 2013.

The group are currently on a world tour with venues in Europe, the US, Canada and Mexico lined up across the next few months.

Eavis also appeared to accidentally confirm rumours that Rick Astley and Blossoms will play a secret set this weekend.

Glastonbury attendees enjoyed a morning shower on Friday as they helped one another soap up in swimming costumes ahead of a night of partying along to headliners Arctic Monkeys.

A statement from the Home Office given to MailOnline states immigration officers spotted near to Glastonbury on Wednesday were there to ‘tackle gangs’.

A spokesperson said: ‘A multi-agency operation took place at Castle Cary, jointly led by Immigration Enforcement and British Transport Police, to tackle gangs who use the railway to transport gang members and vulnerable persons, including foreign nationals who may be in the UK illegally, to run criminal operations.’

It is understood that the operation was concluded by 1pm.

Immigration enforcement officers are spotted monitoring crowds

Immigration enforcement officers were spotted outside Castle Cary station on Wednesday as thousands of revellers heading to the first day of Glastonbury Festival arrived.

Photos shared on social media showed two officers leaning on a rail outside the small train station in Somerset, seemingly awaiting the arrival of festivalgoers heading down to Worthy Farm.

Griff Ferris, who was heading to the festival which will see Elton John, the Arctic Monkeys and Gun N’ Roses play this weekend, said that officers told members of the public they were monitoring crowds for ‘adverse reactions’.

Hozier has confirmed he will be one of the surprise acts performing at Glastonbury Festival on Friday evening.

The Irish singer-songwriter, full name Andrew Hozier-Byrne, said he is ‘thrilled’ to be taking on a slot which was previously marked ‘to be confirmed’ at 7.30pm on the Woodsies stage.

He posted on social media: ‘Thrilled to announce I’ll be playing @glastofest again in a not-so-secret set this evening (Friday)!

‘See you at 7.30pm, WoodSIES stage.’
