At least five people have been killed and at least seven others injured after shooting broke out at a nightclub in Panama.
Video footage recorded by someone attending the Espacio Panama restaurant in Panama City last night captured the shocking moment shots were fired.
Recorded from the crowd and looking at the stage at the venue, the footage showed people in the club enjoying themselves and listening to music.
Shortly after, a series of gunshots can be heard in the video being fired and everyone in the club starts to duck and attempt to make their way outside.

Police are now investigating the incident, which occurred in the Santa Ana district of the city.
Local media reports claim that the shooting is the result of gang violence in the area.
And immediately after the incident, Radio Panama reported that: ‘Preliminary reports indicate that there are several deaths and injuries.’
Taking to Twitter earlier today, the country’s Ministry of Public Security said that: ‘Two people allegedly linked to an event registered in the town of Santa Ana, were captured by police units in the Las Acacias sector.
‘A firearm was recovered from the vehicle in which they were being transported.’

The ministry also said that a firearm had been recovered by police officers following the arrest
