Harry Redknapp’s former mansion in the exclusive waterside enclave Sandbanks has had £1million slashed off the asking price.

The football pundit lived in the mock-Tudor home between 2002 and 2015, when he managed Spurs, Portsmouth, Southampton and Queens Park Rangers.

Redknapp sold the property – named Harbour Gate – for £6.9million to businessman Barry Bester, the founder of Topps Tiles.

The stunning mock-Tudor home called Harbour Gate, with grand balconies facing the sea, was once owned by former Tottenham Hostpur boss Harry Redknapp and has had £1million slashed from its asking price

The property has its own jetty with a hydraulic lift for taking the new owner’s boat out of the water

Those with energy will be able to dive into this pool and swim a few lengths if the sea outside is a bit rough

The millionaire carried out extensive renovations and put the plush six-bedroom pad on the market last year for £11million.

However he has already had to slash the price by a million, to attract buyers for the former football manager’s home.

The luxury property features six bedrooms, a kitchen and breakfast room, dining room and lounge.

It also boasts a huge cinema room, library, indoor swimming pool, gym with sauna and an office.

Outside there are two sun terraces and a private jetty with space for two jet skis, which are hoisted out of the water by a hydraulic lift.

The property comes with a three-bedroom detached gatehouse for staff or visitors, as well as a double garage with professional dog-grooming bathtub.

It also has a huge wine cellar, a special golfing simulator and the driveway is big enough for ten cars.

Estate agents Tailor Made said: ‘Inspired by the glorious chateaux of France, Harbour Gate is a sophisticated, unique, waterside retreat that reflects the magical merging of inspiration and architecture creating the ultimate in luxury family living.

Harry Redknapp and his wife Sandra, left, have now left Sandbanks and moved to nearby Poole in a brand new eco house

At the back of the property, the house has space to comfortably park at least ten cars

‘Harbour Gate was built in 1991 by a renowned local builder as his own family home, the quality and detail was simply amazing for its time and was clearly a labour of love.

‘The current owners undertook a “top to toe” refurbishment in 2016 with a brief to bring the house up to 21st century standards, but not to lose any of the charm and sophistication that sets this home apart from the norm.

‘Many of the original tradesmen were brought back to ensure standards were maintained.

‘The finished house is just simply magical.

‘If you are looking for a beautiful traditional family home with all the latest equipment and technology and in one of the best locations in the UK, you need look no further.’

The waterside property is on the exclusive millionaire enclave of Sandbanks, near Bournemouth, Dorset.

The sun-drenched peninsula is a celebrity hotspot, and has also been home to Graeme Souness and John Lennon.

Harry, 74, and wife Sandra, 75, moved to an ultra-modern pad, also on Sandbanks, after selling Harbour Gate in 2015.

And the famous couple have now moved again, to an eco home in the leafy Branksome Park suburb of Poole.

Redknapp wanted to downsize, and is reported to have made a cool £3m when selling his final Sandbanks pad.

His new home relies on nature for all of the heating and electricity.

The former Spurs boss built it from scratch, and it is now ready for the couple to live in it.

There will be solar panels on the roof for hot water and other solar technology will provide electricity.

The home, featuring a grand fire place, plush interiors and a chandelier in the sitting room on the ground floor, is one of the best on the exclusive peninsula in Dorset

This lavishly decorated bedroom is one of six in the property which has been extensively refurbished before being placed on the market

On the ground floor, the wooden and marble-topped kitchen blends seamlessly into a day room, which has luxurious armchairs facing the garden and jetty to the back of the home
