A SIX-year-old's family reportedly shared several warnings over the boy's safety before his body was found stuffed in the trunk of a car.
Tory Hart's family is questioning why more wasn't done to protect six-year-old Eli Hart as his mom faces a murder charge.
Tory expressed concerns that his son Eli was being "mentally and emotionally abused" in emails to county social workers, the Star Tribune reported.
He noted that the boy had trouble sleeping, was showing signs of anxiety, using "baby talk," and stuttering.
Eli had also begun misbehaving in school and was violent toward other children, the outlet reported. He reportedly pushed one child off a slide and kicked another in the throat.
This change in behavior allegedly came after Eli moved back in with his mother, Julissa Thaler, after being placed in foster care for nearly a year.

After being placed there under the reasoning his mother failed to properly care for him, Eli's foster parents and family members objected to him being returned to her.
Eli’s mom regained full custody on May 10, the paper reported, and less than two weeks later Eli was dead.
Thaler was reportedly driving around with Eli's body in the trunk of a car when Minnesota authorities pulled her over for suspicious behavior.
She was driving the vehicle with a front tire missing, according to local ABC affiliate KSTP.

"This county failed this child big-time," said Nikita Kronberg, a family member who acted as Eli's foster mother for 11 months.
Josie Josephson, Tory Hart's fiancée, said multiple family members expressed concern over the boy's care.
Eli reportedly suffered from a rare genetic disorder called Townes-Brock syndrome, which led to kidney disease and hearing problems that required hearing aids.
Josephson said Tory Hart lost contact with his son shortly after he was born, but rekindled the relationship in 2019.
"Tory's days and weeks revolved around when he would get to see his son next," she said.
"He was missing a piece of himself when [his son] was not around."
A GoFundMe to help with Eli's funeral costs said: "Tory tried extremely hard to get custody of Eli.
"Numerous parties made many statements to CPS, fearing that mom would harm Eli if full custody were returned. Sadly full custody was returned on May 10, 2022."
Thaler, 28, is now charged with second-degree intentional murder of the boy, according to KSTP.
The news outlet also reported that officers found blood on Thaler and located a shotgun shell and spent casing in the car.
There was also reportedly a bullet hole in the back seat and a broken-out back window.
