The decapitated head of a 22-year-old expecting her first child has been found in a dumpster outside her apartment.
The remains of Liese Dodd were discovered by her mother in her Alton, Illinois home on June 9 after cops say she was ‘savagely, savagely killed, dubbing the killer ‘a monster’.
Police have arrested her ex-boyfriend Deundrea Holloway on suspicion of murder.
Holloway, 22, has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of intentional homicide to an unborn child, dismembering a human body, offenses relating to motor vehicles, and concealment of a homicide death.
Dodd’s mother Heidi Noel said Holloway was not the father of the baby, but the pair had been in an on-and-off relationship for years.
‘While at the Police Department the suspect became aggressive with myself and Officers and had to be restrained’, said Gillespie Police Chief Jared DePoppe.
The suspect was transferred to the Macoupin County Jail without incident where he was later identified as wanted for questioning by the Alton Police Department.
Holloway is being held in jail on a $2,000,000 bond.

Dodd grew up and went to school in Jerseyville, Illinois and just recently moved into a home in Alton.
‘A beautiful smile,’ said Noel, speaking with KMOV News 4 over the phone on Tuesday about her daughter.

Dodd was expecting a baby girl to arrive in late July, planning a baby shower that would have welcomed her first child into the world.
‘We were planning her baby shower for the end of this month,’ said the mother. ‘I had just sent out invitations the prior Saturday for the baby shower. We were just excited and gathering the items you need to have a baby.
‘She wasn’t set on a name yet. [She] said ‘my little bean.’ So, we essentially were calling the baby, “baby bean”.’
Noel says she plans to have a ‘celebration of life’ for Dodd and her unborn baby.
