Heavily pregnant teacher, 35, found dead at Glasgow home as cops hunt for missing person | The Sun

A PREGNANT woman who was found dead in a Glasgow home has been named locally as a teacher.

Police were called to Jura Street in the Craigton area of the city around 8:40am yesterday morning.

The body of 35-year-old Marelle Sturrock, from Wick, Caithness, was found inside the property.

It's understood Marelle worked as a primary school teacher and was also an aspiring actress and singer.

Cops said her death is being treated as unexplained as they launched their investigation.

Officers have also been carrying out extensive searches of Mugdock Country Park, near Glasgow, in relation to a missing person in the area.

Detectives confirmed the death of the mum-to-be is being treated as linked to the missing person search.

A police presence remains at both locations as enquiries continue.

CID officers arrived at the house on Jura Street this afternoon and were spotting putting on forensics gear.

And forensic teams were working on a cordoned off area of Mugdock.
