The case against a man accused of murdering two campers in Victoria’s High Country has been delayed because he hasn’t been able to access documents in prison.
Pilot Greg Lynn, 55, appeared in Sale Magistrates’ Court via video link on Tuesday from the Melbourne Assessment Prison dressed in a blue T-shirt and black-rimmed glasses.

Lynn’s lawyer asked that the matter be adjourned until August as he was having trouble getting his client access to a prison computer to read the brief of evidence against him.
Solicitor Chris McLennan said the extra time would allow his legal team to print out the brief of evidence and get it to their client.
“The brief has arrived in a digital form, but my client doesn’t have access to a computer. We’ve been trying to get a computer in the prison available, but that hasn’t worked out,” McLennan said.
“I don’t want to delay the matter any more than anyone else.”
Missing campers Russell Hill and Carol Clay.
It’s been more than six months since specialist police flew into a remote part of the state via helicopter to arrest Lynn as he camped in the High Country at Arbuckle Junction, about 170 kilometres east of Melbourne.
Detectives had spent almost 20 months before the arrest investigating the disappearance of Russell Hill and Carol Clay, whose burnt-out campsite was discovered in March 2020.
On Tuesday, Magistrate Tim Walsh approved the lengthy adjournment but said: “We need to get this matter moving”.
Lynn was charged with two counts of murder in November, close to two years after Hill, 74, and Clay, 73, went missing while camping in the Wonnangatta Valley, also in the High Country.
In the days that followed, police and forensic crews searched a remote part of the rugged Alpine area, north of the township of Dargo, for the pair’s suspected remains.
In February, the coroner’s office confirmed remains discovered in the search zone were those of Hill and Clay.
Lynn, an airline pilot from Caroline Springs, stands accused of killing the pair on March 20, 2020.
On Tuesday, investigators confirmed they were still searching for a trailer they believe Lynn may have sold on online marketplace Gumtree in the months after the alleged murder.

The metal trailer is believed to be silver-blue in colour, about 2 metres by 1.5 metres in size, rusty and fitted with outback wheels.
The matter will return to Sale Magistrates’ Court on August 23.
Anyone with information on the missing trailer is urged to phone Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
