THREE beauticians have been arrested after they allegedly botched the skin treatments of at least 10 women.
The unnamed trio are held on suspicion of wounding, fraud and misappropriation while working at a skin care clinic in the upmarket Costa del Sol resort town of Puerto Banús, Spain.
Police believe at least 10 women were injured as a result of the poorly qualified and wrongly equipped staff at the Spanish clinic.
Clinic Eva's has been identified but not officially named by police. The beauty centre describes itself as a "rejuvenation and odontology clinic" and offers non-surgical body and facial treatments.
The nationalities of the women who were physically wounded by the clinic's treatments have not yet been released.
However, online promotions posted by the clinic feature women from the UK recommending their services.

One very disgruntled English-speaking customer posted a tirade against the clinic this month entitled: “My Horror story with Clinica Eva’s in Puerto Banus.”
The anonymous woman describes herself as "one of the many victims of Clinica Eva’s".
She attached photos of the "burn blisters" she claimed she sustained after being “scammed” out of £1,650 for a cellulite treatment she was told would be painless but left her in agony.

The woman said she demanded to know what machine had been used but failed to get an answer from the clinic.
“After about 2 weeks my legs stopped burning. But they still looked horrible, like I came from a war zone.
“I was at one point truly afraid that they messed up my legs so bad that I would never recover from it.
"Out of desperation I visited a hospital and they were shocked but not surprised to see what happened to me. Apparently I was not the first one that came from Clinica Evas with burned skin or other problems."
After the painful two-week saga, the unknown woman asked for a refund but instead the clinic blamed her for her "discoloured legs".
They said "it was all my fault because I had had UVA rays from a solarium. I literally had not seen a solarium in YEARS. I don’t even sunbathe. Also, if this would be any problem with the treatment, shouldn’t that be mentioned BEFORE instead of AFTER the treatment," she continued.
Five months later, "my legs still look terribly discoloured…Nobody deserves to be treated like this," the woman wrote.
A spokesman for Spain’s National Police confirmed that three arrests had been made.
“National Police have arrested three people in Marbella on suspicion of committing wounding, professional intrusion, public health offences, fraud, misappropriation and forgery."
The spokesperson continued: "The detainees allegedly carried out irresponsible beauty treatments without the necessary qualifications using apparatus which weren’t suitable.
“So far ten people are believed to have suffered physical harm, some serious."

A draft report, police said, has already revealed "failings and irregularities" of staff and machinery at the clinic and its license has been suspended.
Clinic Eva's website is currently down and the phones are not currently being answered.
