Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are reportedly thinking of moving to a new Santa Barbara ZIP code – but residents in the exclusive neighborhood are said to be ‘worried’ that the royal couple will bring a ‘circus’ to the area.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have reportedly outgrown their idyllic Montecito mansion – and are looking to relocate about 10 miles away to Hope Ranch, Santa Barbara.
They currently live at the sprawling $14million home with their two young children – Archie and Lilibet.
But rumors of their relocation has rocked locals living in Hope Ranch, TMZ reported.
The Sussexes currently have a collection of elite A-list neighbors, including Katy Perry, Adam Levine, Ellen DeGeneres and Jennifer Aniston. However Hope Ranch is a quieter, more exclusive area.

Affluent Hope Ranch boasts a slew of upmarket amenities – including a country club, golf club, tennis court, equestrian trails, and its own private beach.
And with a population of about 2,200, the elite village is home to wealthy Californians who are not in the public eye quite like the Sussexes.
Some of Ranch Hope’s well known residents include rapper Snoop Dogg, novelist and actor Ron Ely, and talk show host Laura Schlessinger.
According to TMZ, sources close to Homeowners Association at Hope Ranch say residents are fretting over Meghan and Harry’s alleged move because of the ‘baggage’ they’ll bring.
The royal pair may bring a ‘circus’ to the idyllic area, reports TMZ.
Meghan and Harry’s presence in Hope Ranch may also cause more traffic in the area – as photographers flock to snap pictures of the family, sources told the news outlet.
Their Montecito home ‘does not properly accommodate them’ and rumors are already circulating that the Sussexes may have already purchased a new home, reports The Santa Barbara News-Press.

Former Suits actress Meghan, 41, married Prince Harry, 38, at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle in 2018 – but less than two years later the pair stepped down as working royals and retreated to America.
They bought their existing property in the summer of 2020, just months after the so-called ‘Megxit’ deal which saw them quit the royal family.
They’ve since signed deals with Netflix and Spotify for a rumored $135m in total, with Harry also said to be in line for an extra $20 million to publish his autobiography.
The reason for their alleged move to Ranch Hope may also be for security reasons, it’s been claimed.
Harry and Meghan reportedly had a scare in May, when police were alerted to two intruders at their house during a 12-day span when the family was believed to be home.
According to police records, a trespasser at Meghan and Harry’s home was reported on their wedding anniversary, May 19 at 5.44pm.
Less than two weeks later, at 3.21pm on May 31 – just hours before the pair were to take a private jet to Britain for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, another intruder was reported.
Given the crime surge in the area, Harry and Meghan may instead be opting to move to a safe neighborhood while remaining in Santa Barbara.
