Horrific moment teen is stabbed in front of mum and toddler in broad daylight before bystander tries to ram knifeman

POLICE are hunting a knife wielding attacker who stabbed a teenager in broad daylight before brazenly strolling past a mum and toddler.

Horrifying CCTV footage shows the hooded thug chasing his victim across a busy road before he trips and falls on a zebra crossing.

The masked knifeman then lunges at the teen four times with the blade, appearing to stab him in the stomach, and runs off after he kicks out to defend himself.

A woman holding hands with a toddler looks shocked as the violent incident takes place just yards away from her at around midday on Milton Road, Kent, on Tuesday.

One driver who witnessed the attack as they waited at the crossing mounted the pavement towards the attacker in an attempt to stop them getting away.

The footage shows the black vehicle swerving towards the knifeman after he attempted to flee the scene, launching himself over the front of the car.

It also shows the victim staggering across the road after hiding in a nearby newsagent, waiting for his attacker to leave.

Emergency services were called to the scene and rushed the teenage victim to a London hospital for urgent treatment.

A spokesman for Kent Police said: “Police were called at 12.47pm on Tuesday to a report a teenage boy had been assaulted by another person in Milton Road.

“Officers attended alongside South East Coast Ambulance Service and Kent Surrey Sussex Air Ambulance.

“The boy has since been taken to a London hospital for treatment to an injury which is consistent with a stab wound.

“Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information, including mobile phone footage or privately held CCTV that captures the incident, is asked to call Kent Police on 01474 366149 quoting 15-0672.

“You can also contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously by calling 0800 555111.”
