THIS is the terrifying moment a hero bystander was horrifically savaged as he tried to stop an "out-of-control" dog from attacking commuters.
Chilling video from the horror scene shows the mutt going berserk at passers-by before breaking free from it's owners grip.
Film from a nearby flat shows how once on the loose, the dog turns on the man trying to calm it down.
In a frenzied attack the canine then savagely mauls the man amid blood curdling screams from its owner who stands back with another dog.
The situation descends into bedlam as the innocent bloke repeatedly boots the dog in the face and stamps on its head in a desperate attempt to get the crazed animal off him.
But the animal simply does not give up despite taking repeated kicks to its muzzle as it sinks its teeth into the mans feet.
