A woman was left covered in horrific bruises all over her body after a 23st thug choked, punched and stamped on her in a gruesome attack.

Jessica Davies said she was left feeling ‘broken and worthless’ after her huge 6ft ex-partner viscously attacked her while their two-year-old son slept in the next room.

After meeting Thomas Parry when she was just 15, Ms Davies was subjected to eight years of controlling behaviour, leaving her ‘believing he was going to kill me’ .

After leaving her brutal partner when she was 19, he convinced her to come back by promising he had changed, only to return to his abusive behaviour.

Parry attacked her after they had returned from her father’s 70th birthday party and demanded to know details about her sex life with a former partner before violently assaulting her in August last year.

Thomas Parry, 29, subjected Ms Davies to a violent attack after flying into a jealous rage

Ms Davies told The Sun: ‘He grabbed my hair and began smashing my head on the sofa.

‘He spat and stamped on me with his trainers and I was semi-conscious at one point.

‘The pain was so horrific my body went numb.

‘My body was black and blue all over from the bruises. He hit me so hard in the face there was blood everywhere from my nose.

‘When I saw myself in the mirror I barely recognised myself. He beat me so hard – I could barely walk and I hurt so badly. I was in absolute agony.’

Ms Davies described crawling to treat her son with Calpol while he suffered from chickenpox in the flat despite the excruciating pain she was in.

She eventually escaped from the home by running out the door when Parry was not looking and showed the photos of her horrific injuries to her family, who contacted the police.

The pictures of her bruises were so bad one of the police officers investigating the case was moved to tears when they saw them.

Ms Davies has now bravely spoken about her traumatic ordeal to raise awareness of domestic abuse.

Ms Davies said her injuries were so horrific one police officer teared up after seeing them

She had also warned women to look for red flags in relationships to ensure they can stay safe.

Ms Davies said these can include the controlling behaviour she experienced early in her abusive relationship, such as being alienated from from friends and family, having her phone taken away and the demands Parry made over what she could wear.

Parry was jailed four four years in March at Cardiff Crown Court, with half his sentence to be spent on licence.

The court heard he had 14 previous convictions, including for common assault.
