A teenage girl has sadly passed away while two passengers are fighting for their lives in hospital after a horrific crash on a dual carriageway in Essex.
An 18-year old woman was pronounced dead at the scene and four people are in hospital after the collision on the Pitsea flyover in Basildon, Essex.
The incident, which has left two people in a critical condition, occurred at just before 2:30pm, Essex Police revealed.
A road lying beneath the flyover had to be temporarily closed off due to concerns about potential falling debris, while the A13 remained shut until 11pm on Saturday.
Three air ambulances were called to the scene to help those involved.

Detective Sergeant Sam Nason, from Essex Police’s Serious Collision Unit, said: ‘This was a tragic collision and our thoughts are with those involved.
‘We are continuing multiple enquiries this morning including speaking with witnesses and reviewing CCTV and dashcam.
‘We believe there were a number of witnesses, many of whom helped those involved.
‘We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision or have any CCTV or dashcam to get in contact.’
