Horror moment woman is mauled by vicious pit bull as she desperately drags her bloodied body into lift to get help

HORROR pictures show the moment a woman desperately dragged herself into a lift to find help as a pit bull ferociously attacked her – covering the floor with blood.

The terrified victim, 25, suffered bites to her neck, arms, hands, and legs as she frantically tried to get away from the vicious dog at an apartment block in Cucuta, Colombia.

Shocking footage – which The Sun has decided not to publish – shows the woman shuffling herself along the floor and into the lift in an attempt to seek help.

But the pit bull continues to sink its teeth into her and pools of blood form on the floor of the lift.

She manages to hit a button with her bloodied hand and crawls out when it reaches the floor.

According to local reports, the woman was helped by security guards before being taken to hospital with injuries to her neck, arms, hands, and legs.

She is now due to undergo surgery following the horrifying incident on March 17 in the Prados neighbourhood.

The dog, which had never been involved in an attack before, was seized by the local authorities to undergo several days of "behavioural tests" before a decision is made on what to do with it.

According to news site El Informador, the pooch was owned by another resident in the building and was without a muzzle.

Other reports did not state who owned the dog, but said it was in the victim's apartment with her when it suddenly attacked her.
