What was the most recent mass shooting to occur?
Ten people tragically died in a gun massacre at a supermarket in Boulder, Colorado on March 22, 2021.
Ahmad Alissa was named as the alleged shooter by Boulder Police Chief who shot victims one by one with a rifle.
Footage from the March 22 shooting showed a shirtless Alissa covered in blood being led away in handcuffs.
Witnesses said a man in tactical gear was silent as he carefully picked off his victims with a rifle in the parking lot before moving inside the store.
“He just came in and started shooting,” one shopper told The Denver Post.
Another said the gunman “let off a couple of shots, then was silent, and then he let off a couple more. He wasn’t spraying.”
Boulder, Colorado officials announced that Alissa is being charged with 10 counts of murder in the first degree.
Little is known about Alissa, 21, however, Boulder Police Chief Maris Herold named Alissa as the shooter during an 8.30am press conference on March 23.
According to officials, Alissa is from Arvada, Colorado, just 20 miles south of Boulder.
When did the shooting in Kalamazoo, Michigan occur?
On November 27, 2021, there was a deadly shooting in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Authorities in Kalamazoo identified the shooter as Anthony Oliver, 54, who exchanged fire with police officers and shot four people.
The shooting took place when Anthony Oliver boarded a bus at the Kalamazoo bus and train station, then proceeded to open fire on the passengers on board.
It was a very close call, none of the victims were pronounced dead. Although, they did sustain non-life threatening injuries.
When was the shooting in Oxford, Michigan?
A few days following the shooting in Kalamazoo, there was another shooting in Michigan.
This time, the tragedy struck Oxford, Michigan's local high school.
On Tuesday, November 30, a sophomore student at Oxford High School opened fire on his classmates and claimed the lives of three students.
The victims include Madisyn Baldwin, 17, Hana St. Juliana, 14, and Tate Myre, 16, who were all pronounced dead after the unfortunate event took place.
