A bungling thief telephoned a takeaway and ordered two lamb burgers while he was at a business he had just burgled – and was overheard by police.
Musfer Jabbar, 22, and three of his mates had just robbed a gun store in Sheffield when the young man got hungry and decided to phone a local takeaway, as reported by Yorkshire Live.
While the other men loaded the loot into a vehicle that had been hired by Andrew Coy, 35, and sped off to a nearby house, Jabbar stayed at the scene of the crime and was overheard on CCTV making the damning call.

That phone call eventually sealed their fate as police used it as evidence to place Jabbar, Shabaz Ismail, Andrew Coy and Andrew Cross at the scene.
A police spokesperson said: "Ismail, 22, and Jabbar, 22, stayed in the shop but enquiries and CCTV showed Jabbar making a phone call.
"Phone checks confirmed that he was placing an order with a local takeaway for two lamb burger meals and this crucially placed them at the scene of the burglary."
Detectives later tracked down the occupant of a house and arrested a 34-year-old woman for handling stolen goods. That woman was sentenced in 2020 for her part in the crime that took place in April that year.
Cross, of Frog Walk, Sheffield, was jailed for nine years after he pleaded guilty at trial to burglary, possession of firearm without a certificate and possession of a firearm when prohibited.

Coy, of Wood Road, Sheffield, pleaded guilty to burglary and possession of a firearm without a certificate and was jailed for five years and 10 months, while Ismail, of Glover Road, Sheffield, pleaded guilty to burglary, possession of a prohibited weapon, possession of a firearm without a certificate and other weapon and drug offences relating to other matters, and jailed for eight years and one month.
Jabbar, of no fixed address, was found guilty of burglary, possession of a firearm without a certificate and possession with intent to supply class A drugs and jailed for nine years. The four were all sentenced at Sheffield Crown Court on Thursday, December 15.
Police say they have recovered all of the firearms that were stolen from the business.
