I can't access my garden after neighbours PADLOCKED & barricaded fence – it's left me shaking and in tears | The Sun

A SCOTS mum has claimed she can't access or get out of her garden due to a bitter dispute with her neighbours.

Naima Watt, 36, says she has been stuck in the furious row with her next door neighbours for three months – which at times has left her "shaking and in tears."

Mum-of-one Naima has to go through the next door garden to get access to a shared communal close.

But the mum from Ayr, told Ayrshire Live her neighbours have padlocked the gate to the shared close and barricaded her gate with wheelie bins – trapping her in her own back garden.

She has claimed the dispute means she cannot get parcels delivered or have her windows cleaned.

Naima also claimed that the row led to her son Kai, 11, getting his birthday presents late as they couldn't be delivered and had to be collected from a depot.

The trouble for Kai continued, as she says she is unable to carry his bike through the house due to recovering from a dislocated shoulder.

And she claimed the blockade meant he couldn't take his bike to school for a Bike Ability course – leaving him in tears as he couldn't take part.

She claims the youngster hasn't been able to use his bike all summer because of the dispute.

Naima told Ayrshire Live: “I feel like someone else is controlling my whole life.

“I just can’t stop shaking and I get upset every time I think about it."

She continued: “I can’t get parcels delivered, when it was Kai’s birthday his presents were late because I had to collect them from a depot.

"The window cleaners can’t get access, my son can’t get his bike out from the back."

She also claimed that the row also caused her to be locked out of her house, after her front door closed behind her and she had no access to the back of the house.

Naima says she has been to the council, police and legal aid to get help, but says no one has been able to resolve the row.

She also claimed she is now urging her landlord to step in and bring an end to the bitter dispute.

The council said they offered mediation to help resolve the dispute but this was turned down – and that there is nothing else they can do as both neighbours are not council tenants.

Police also gave advice to Naima over the dispute.

Naima's landlord and her neighbours did not wish to comment to Ayrshire Live.
