I forgive killer…he won’t destroy me, says mum of murdered sisters

THE mum of two sisters stabbed to death by a teen Satanist says she has forgiven their murderer.

Mina Smallman insisted the slaying of Bibaa Henry and Nicole Smallman by disturbed Danyal Hussein would not destroy her.

And she told how she refused to be intimidated by Hussein during his trial — returning his smile from the dock with a wink.

Hussein, 19, was found guilty earlier this week of murdering Bibaa, 46, and Nicole, 27.

He carried out the frenzied attack in June last year, when he was 18, as part of a bizarre pact he made with a demon.

Hussein pledged to kill six women in six months in return for winning a £321million lottery jackpot and signed a contract using his blood.

Yesterday, Mrs Smallman said she had forgiven him.

She added: “When we hold hatred for someone, it is not only them that is held captive, it is you.

“Because your thoughts become consumed by revenge and what you’d like to do to them.

“I refuse to give him that power. He is a non-entity to me.

“The pact said he was going to kill another four women. Our precious daughters died but four other families, their children have not been taken.

"And that’s the gift. He has no power in our lives.”

Mrs Smallman also claimed Hussein, who had previously been on an anti-terror programme after viewing dead bodies on a school computer, tried to intimidate her during his Old Bailey trial.

She said: “He looked me straight in my eyes and then he smiled. He did this sinister little smile. So I smiled back and I winked at him.

“And he went doolally. Because I gave him that and I wouldn’t give him the privilege of letting him feel that he’d destroyed me.”

Mrs Smallman also told the BBC she feared Hussein would never lose his desire to kill.

She said: “The saddest thing is if this young man does have this tendency.

"He's a killer now. He'll be a killing machine by the time he comes out.”

The step-sisters were targeted by Hussein at Fryent Country Park, Wembley, North London, as they celebrated Bibaa’s 46th birthday.

Hussein, of Blackheath, London, denied two counts of murder but was convicted by a jury.

He will be sentenced on September 22.
