A FRAZZLED mum loaded her shopping into the wrong car then drove her own home without realising what she had done.
Sarah Cowan, 48, spent £75 on a weekly food shop then loaded the bags into the back of what she thought was her car.
She took her trolley back to a bay then got in her car and drove home.
But when she got there the shopping — and her handbag with £250 in — were nowhere to be seen.
It turned out she had parked next to a car that was the exact same make, model and colour — and the kind-hearted mystery owner had returned Sarah’s shopping and handbag to the Aldi store.
Married mum-of-one Sarah, of Hightae, Dumfries, drives a silver Nissan Qashqai with a keyless unlocking system.
It would have automatically unlocked her car as she approached. But it is not clear if it also managed to unlock the car next to hers or if that was already unlocked.
Hotel worker Sarah said: “I was absolutely exhausted and just wanted to go home.

“I couldn’t believe that someone had handed them in. I honestly thought I’d lost everything.”
