THE Red Arrows soar across the sky to mark Armed Forces Day.

They flew over parades in Salisbury, Wilts., to mark the sacrifices made by members of the military.

More than 1,300 current soldiers, veterans and cadets marched through the city and saluted Princess Anne, 68, at just one of at least 300 events nationwide.

Members of the Rifles infantry regiment marched through the streets of the streets in Wiltshire, while the world famous display planes tracked the red, white and blue of the Union Jack across the sky.

Defence Secretary Penny Mordaunt said: “On Armed Forces Day we celebrate the exceptional contribution service personnel, regular or reservist, veterans and their families make to our security and prosperity.

“It is incredible to see people coming together to show their support for the Armed Forces”.
