The French modelling agent was accused of procuring more than 1,000 women and girls for the paedophile financier to sleep with. The 74-year-old’s apparent suicide happened in a part of a Paris prison which was reportedly not overlooked by security cameras.

Brunel died while awaiting trial in France for raping minors.

Prosecutors in Paris confirmed that Brunel was found hanging in his cell in La Santé in the early hours of this morning.

Virginia Giuffre – a former sex slave of Epstein who reached an out-of-court settlement with Prince Andrew this week – had previously accused Brunel of abusing her.

A source told MailOnline: “A night patrol found his lifeless body at about 1am.

“A judicial enquiry has been launched, and early evidence points to suicide.”
