The Home Office has confirmed that it will send the WikiLeaks founder to the US where he is set to face a potential life sentence. 

The case passed to the home secretary last month after the supreme court ruled that there were no legal questions over assurances given by US authorities over how he is likely to be treated.

He is currently being held in Belmarsh Prison after being removed from the Ecuadorean embassy in 2019.
