Brits looking to eat at popular food chains KFC, Burger King, Pizza Hut and Pret be left hungry over Christmas after hundreds of workers delivering food voted to go on strike.
Bestfood drivers, who deliver vital supplies to the much-loved restaurants, will refuse to work after accusing shareholders of hoarding profits whilst they are struggling amidst a cost of living crisis.
The workers voted overwhelmingly in favour of going on strike with 76 per cent demanding industrial action in an effort to get a pay rise, with almost 400 people set to walk out.

Bestfood also serves popular UK chains Taco Bell, Wagamama, Pizza Express, TGI Fridays, Ask Italian and Zizzi.
Nadine Houghton, GMB national officer, said: “The parent companies of Bestfood – Booker and Tesco – are making serious money.
“Shareholders are trousering large dividends, while the people who do the graft are struggling to make ends meet.
"All these workers want is a pay deal that protects them from this crushing cost of living crisis.
“Now, some of the best know restaurants on the UK’s high streets will face shortages over Christmas.”
It comes amid waves of strikes threatening to bring Britain to a standstill over the festive period.
The Bestfood workers will join railway staff in refusing to work after it was announced a whopping 40,000 who are employed to run the UK’s trains will also strike over Christmas.

Passengers will therefore face major disruption across four 48-hour periods between December and the start of January 2022.
Houghton said staff are “crushed” by the sharp rise in the cost of living and added: “These workers bust a gut to deliver fresh, just in time food to some of the biggest names in the business…
“Now some of their biggest clients may well be left short this Christmas because they won’t meet GMB’s reasonable request for a pay deal that protects our members through this year and into next with a genuine cost of living increase.”
