Knifemen stabbed a taxi passenger to death and injured his 16-year-old friend in a terrifying murder just days after an 18-year-old was fatally stabbed in a nearby area.
West Yorkshire Police have launched a murder investigation after two men were stabbed on Hall Lane Brentwood Terrace in Armley, Leeds.
Jamie Meah, 18, was riding in a taxi during rush hour on Friday with a friend when another vehicle containing three occupants jumped the two passengers.
Jamie was stabbed through the through the neck, upper body and leg.
The other passenger, aged 16, also suffered knife wounds, in the attack on Hall Lane, Armley, Leeds, West Yorkshire.

Jamie managed to run to a fish and chip shop, where he collapsed and was given CPR, but he sadly died from his injuries.
Officers confirmed that they were called at 5.29pm yesterday by the ambulance service to reports two males had been seriously injured.
The 18-year-old was taken to hospital where he was pronounced deceased shortly after arrival.
His friend, aged 16, was also taken to hospital with serious injuries, but they are not believed to be life threatening.
Paying tribute to Jamie on Facebook, one person wrote: ‘Rest in paradise brother. Words can’t describe what a character you really was, the most kind hearted boy no matter what you did.
‘You didn’t deserve this whatsoever. Such a cruel world we live in. I’m so grateful for the times and memories we had together.’
Another wrote: ‘Wow what a cruel world, sleep easy Jamie, thinking of all the Meah family at this awful time.’
Detectives from the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team are investigating, and police cordons are in place on Hall Road and Brentwood Terrace and the surrounding area will undergo forensic examination and specialist searches.

This incident is the second stabbing incident in Armley as in the early hours of March 19, 17-year-old Trust Junior Jordan Gangata was stabbed and fatally wounded at a house party.
Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Chief Inspector Lee Townley of the Homicide and Major enquiry Team said: ‘Extensive enquiries are being carried out in relation to this murder investigation, our thoughts remain with the victim who has lost his life as a result of a violent attack on the streets of Leeds.
‘We are working to establish the full circumstances surrounding this incident.
‘What we do know is that the two males were in a taxi at the time when they were attacked by three suspects in another vehicle.
‘I would appeal urgently to anyone who was in the area last night, who may have dash cam footage, or CCTV or mobile phone footage of anything suspicious to come forward.’
DCI Townley added: ‘This incident will undoubtably cause concern in the community and we are working with our colleagues in the Neighbourhood Policing team to step up patrols and provide extra reassurance.’
